Computer Simulation is the art of to create physical and conceptual models or designing the software using tools to create a virtual illusion. The modelling of the desired systems that depend upon human factors and therefore possess a large proportion of uncertainty, such as social, economic or commercial systems. This new field has lot of research and applications to be developed. Here we deal with few models and their functioning in brief.

CHI-SQUARE TEST [X2TEST]

The chi-square test is used for independence to determine whether there is a significant relationship between two categorical variables. The sampling method is simple random sampling. The variables under study are each categorical. Significance levels equal to 0.01, 0.05, or 0.10; but any value between 0 and 1 can be used.


KOLMOGOROV-SMIRNOV TEST [K-S TEST]

A statistical hypothesis test. The test is non-parametric and entirely agnostic. Kolmogorov-Smirnov test can be used to compare actual data to normal distribution. The cumulative probabilities of values in the data are compared with the cumulative probabilities in a theoretical normal distribution. Null-hypothesis: Sample is taken from a normal distribution.


SINGLE SERVER QUEUING

Queueing theory is the mathematical study of waiting lines, or queues. In queueing, model is constructed so that queue lengths and waiting time can be predicted. Single server consists of server and a queue, for arrival and departure.

Queues (waiting lines) affect people every day. A primary goal is finding the best level of service. Analytical modelling can be used for many queues. For more complex situations, computer simulation is needed.

The Weibull distribution is one of the most widely used lifetime distributions in reliability engineering. It is a versatile distribution that can take on the characteristics of other types of distributions, based on the value of the shape parameter .
